HELP! fog light issue

So I’ve had HID fogs in stock housings for the better part of the last 66k miles.  One of the housings got cracked and filled with water.  Rather than replace it with another factory housing I bought LED housings.  They are knock off morimoto units.  I installed the first one last month and it went fine. Worked well.  I didn’t have enough time to do the other so I drove for a month with one and one.  Today I installed the other.  I took the factory one out and while I had the new one installed in the bracket but the bracket still out of the car I tested it and it worked.  At least long enough for me to hit the switch walk up front look and say ok all good then go and turn off at the switch again.  Then I bolted the bracket back in and now they don’t work.  Checked and it was a blown fuse.  Ran to autozone and blew an entire pack of 15a fuses.  They blow so fast the lights never even turn on.  I tried a 20a dude just to see and it lasted all of 1 second longer.  Just enough for the lights to power on then burn out.  What could have happened between the bracket being on the ground and mounted to the truck that could be causing this??? Any ideas?  The LED units certainly look better than factory but it would be great if they actually worked.

Bad ground, onces installed on the truck creating a ground on metal to metal opposed to being off of the truck and not touching the truck but it's wiring. If that makes sense. The fuse you blew was it the original Foglights fuse? And is not recommend to put a bigger size fuse as it will let more current pass through then it should and can cause a fire.

yea i know (about larger fuse).  only put the larger one in quickly to test it.  How do i go about fixing/ finding it?  Do I just create a new ground, taping off one of the black wires or do i need to find and fix the existing issue?

I would just retrace my steps to find the short. Start by disconnecting the last fog light and try another fuse. If it clears the short then you have a bad light, if not continue working back to next light or until the fuses stop blowing. You might have pinched a wire and just haven't noticed it yet.

I recently had an issue with one of my fogs and the pins in the connector on the driver side had completely corroded and were covered in the weird crap that you’ll see build up on battery terminals. Wound up cutting it and just splicing everything together.

UPDATE:

There were no pinched wires anywhere so it has to be a bad internal ground.  I filed a claim with Paypal as the seller was unresponsive, got a refund, and bought a second set (because i don't know how to cut my losses).  The set comes with a relay, inline fuse, and switch.  It's also has a factory plug.  The fuse in the wiring that came with the kit is 30A.  That can only be because it uses heavier gauge wiring right?  No reason the stock wiring and 10A fuse can't run LED lights?  They should be lower load than the factory halogens.
