Strut Spring Retainer/Isolator

Hey everyone, 

I have a 2017 Sierra and has it has been making some weird noises coming from the front of the truck. I’ve seemed to have narrowed it down to the Strut spring retainer/ isolater. Anyone heard of these going bad in 25k miles or replacing with non OEM ones?

I've seen Cadillac SRX's have bad strut bearing plates at like 13,000 miles and only a few months old. They made squeaking noises while turning at low speeds in parking lots and such. New bearing plates fixed the issue. I would try lubing them to see if it changes the noise maybe? Or just start changing parts

Yep kind of like a creaking noise. Metal on metal almost. Definitely more prevalent at low speeds and when the truck does any side to side type movements.

Have you taken to a dealer?

This should be covered under the 3/36 warranty.
