Lower LED DRL Not Dimming with Running Lights

This may be my first post, I logged in using my common forum login and it worked, so forgive me if I missed a required intro post etc.. as some forums require..

Anyways, here's the issue.  2015 Sierra SLT All Terrain 2500.  I am like 99.9% sure that up until recent, when I either switch to running lights, or the auto function kicks the headlights and running lights on, the lower LED DRL strip would dim from the bright white to the yellow-ish to match the top strip which only activates when the park/ headlights are on.  I've recently noticed now the lower strip remains full white intensity... so the colors don't match.  This occurs both while in gear, or in park.  I've tried switching the auto function off, no luck.  I looked at my dad's '18 identical truck, but his upper strip is a white light and matches the lowers (presumably changed when they put HID bulbs in the projectors).  I just hate hate that the two strips are different colors at night and almost preferred the dim yellow to the crystal white.  My only thought is, my truck went in for a radio replacement a couple months ago and maybe they did a BCM flash that caused this?  Anyone else have any insight?  Thanks!
