True Cost of Ownership

After some boredom research, it seems as if the 2500hd 6.0l true cost of ownership comes in second place within hundreds of dollars to the f150 with the tundra in third.  Reliability and maintenance seemed to beat the f150 while the f150 depreciated less than the 2500.  Thoughts on this TCO KBB model?

Why would you compare a 2500 to an F150. You should compare a 1500 to an F150,

It may be possible that the f150 is cheaper to own over the first 5 years  It's after that they kill you since they don't last to 10 years! Lol!!

Plus, right now at least at our Ford dealership, they are offering $5k off and 0% for 72 months on "all" F-150's.

I bought my 2018 Silverado 2500 LTZ diesel in August and I got $12,500 off as well as 0% financing over 72 months.

That number isn't a fraction of the "true" cost of ownership. Not in any real sense. If anyone ever sharpened a pencil and worked it out, you wouldn't buy more than two or three in a lifetime. In five years a 30K vehicle cost near 100K but is worth but 5K to a dealer, less to the junk man. You pay income taxes on the money you make? Fuel taxes? Sales taxes? Tags and insurance? Finance charges? You pay for that with tax free money?  How much money do you have to make to clear just the out the door price? You do it all over again every time you service it.
