Aftermarket Exhaust & Towing

Just curious if it’s worth the cost of adding an aftermarket muffler with towing a travel trailer? I don’t want a lot of drone while traveling. One less argument to have with the Wife & Kid ?. I’m only really looking at replacing the muffler/Tip and adding a CAI. 

 

I do not see a reason or cost to replace the entire system unless I’m missing something?

If you have a 5.3 use Magnaflow 12589 or Flowmaster 53071, 6.2 use Magnaflow 12909 or Flowmaster 53553.  All large case size mufflers with no/minimal drone and V4 chop.  From experience my 6.2 with the 12909 does not drone even when towing at 70 mph.  Just leave the resonator in place and you should have no problems.  Use different mufflers or remove the resonator and all bets are off.
