2014 Silverado 1500 electrical problem

I have a 2014 Silverado 1500 4wd 5.3 Crew cab short bed. I haven't used the truck in a couple of weeks and went to start it but the battery was dead. I tried to charge the battery and when I connected the charger the hazards started flashing, day time running lamps went on, wipers went on with washer pump running. I just put in a new battery and upon connection the horn sounded, wipers turned on and washer fluid runs like a faucet, hazards flashing, day time running lights on all with no key in the ignition. Truck starts and runs but brake light on ,engine lights on and the display said something about 4wheel drive problem. Thanks John

Oh shit you broke it. But really when charging battery best to do so with wires of battery or at least put positive on bat and negative on chassis ground. If possible let trickle charge for as long as possible. The truck needs to be reset is all. But still fallow same rules as to jump start a dead truck. Once you reset it it will request you to do dumb stuff like roll down driver window. Good luck.
