leveled double cabs on factory wheels

I hope I'm not missing another thread that's already been done...We all know that crew cabs are more prevalent, and that aftermarket wheels typically  go hand in hand with any suspension mods... so how about some HD double cabs leveled with factory wheels?

I'm sure there are some other guys like me who search for these and don't find much, right?

Rare bunch is why. The truck normally sits with about 3/4" of rake but depends on the amount of air in the bags.  I parked tailgate to tailgate the other night with a guy in an L5P crew cab with a 6" lift and at least 35s... he was surprised as he was not 6" taller... more like 4" lol.  He was sure I have an aftermarket block in the back and no I don't.  Truck actually has a bunch of things done to it but the height is just cranking the stock keys.  My tires are 295/60/20s and I have miles of room to go to a 295/65/20 (35" tire) but I probably won't.  The truck has 4.56 gears and I like how it runs and pulls with these.

With the weight of the trailer tongue weight and 35 psi in the rear bags.  I purposely pulled the suburban ahead a little more than I normally would.

That looks nice. I really love the way the double cabs look compared to the crew cabs. I have also been looking into Sumosprings And Timbren replacements for the factory bumpstop in the rear to help with sag while towing if I do level mine. I bet the 4.56’s do make it feel pretty responsive.

That’s a great look! I also like the appearance of the double cabs better vs the crew, but I went with crew to maximize rear cargo space. Looks great with the sled deck; I’ve thought about getting one myself. What shock setup did you go with front/back for your 2.25”/2” lift?

I wish I could crank up the stock keys but with my Backrack I only have 1.5" of overhead clearance to get into garage. If I crank it level I will for sure not fit. Other option would be drop shackles but I tow a 5th wheel and it sets up nice and level when hitched. I did put 285-60-20 tires on it and they fill the wells nicely with Fox2.0 shocks.

just shock extenders on the stock ranchos... I had the Stealership put it all on when I bought the truck... part of me wishes I would have spent a little more and gone to a 4 or 6" lift with upper control arms but then I would have had to upgrade tires right away.  With this set up I can still get away with the stock tires and it doesn't look like I missed "leg day" that bad hahahaha.

Exactly the look I’m going for with mine; just enough to make someone look twice and wonder if the truck has a little extra height, but not enough to need front suspension upgrades. I’m thinking 1.5” front/rear. Did you use stock rear shocks for the 2” blocks as well?

yes as far as I remember they are just the stock shocks out back...

    • Can ask that about a lot of places.   Holiday sells 91 for $1 over 87 octane. BP 93 is 80 cents. Amoco 93 is 80 cents Kwik Trips is $1.20 for 92 or whatever they have and $1 for the 91.   I know that this is not exactly same as what you are saying with the premium to premium debate of those two stations but why is there such a difference. Top Tier this and that, it's all BS. All the fuel comes from the same damn refinery, so give me a break.
    • Why does Mobil Premium cost 90 cents a gallon more than Shell Premium when their regular offerings are but pennies apart?
    • Was all the way down to $3.69 a gallon but then jumped back to $3.99 just because for some reason.   Diesel floats between $4.80's to $5.10ish a gallon. I even saw Diesel #1 for $6.09 today but nobody in there right mind even buys that in the summer.
    • Mine just keeps lagging or getting stuck on the reverse camera. When I turn off the truck, get out, and close the door it will still stay on. It’s very intermittent and I would not be able to duplicate the issue.
    • I was checking out fuel prices at my farm fuel retailer at their pumps and yes the farm price is a bit lower than the non dyed fuel and was glad to see that the regular farm gas price has dropped a lot from what it had been but what blew me away was the price of diesel as the spread now compared to before the prices went up earlier in the year, diesel was actually slightly lower than gas which was a switch from the theme the last number of years. However that sure isn't the theme lately and definitely not right now. The prices I will post are not from that retailer but just looking at gasbuddy for the main city in this area and instead of posting the lowest price someone found I will list the higher price ( and that may not be the highest price, just whatever someone posted on gasbuddy ).   So regular gas and there are a lot of stations listing the same price for regular is 1.68 a liter, premium 2.00 a liter. Diesel 2.03 a liter for a top price I saw on diesel.   Figures out to 6.36 a us gallon Canadian funds for regular and 7.68 for diesel. With the US exchange rate it would be 4.58 us for regular and 5.53 for diesel.    Thought I would figure that out to get a picture of what it settles out like compared to various US prices and its about the same as the current price in Fairbanks AK as Anchorage tends to be lower. So yes, these would be the prices and higher along the way on the Alaska highway where they know they have a captured market !, for fuel prices for those beginning the long drive back to the lower 48   The problem is our Canadian dollar and going to the states that have the high prices, boy do we pay then !
