Hey all! I have a 2005 Silverado 1500 with the 5.3L. It’s been a great truck. Recently I had the truck tuned by diablew and it ran amazing. This was in August. At the beginning of December the truck threw a check engine light for p0101 mass air flow. I went to autozone for a quick fix and replaced the mass air flow. It was fine until last week.. it threw the same code again so I warrantied out the mass air flow. The next day the code was back. I have checked everything i can think of and my LTFT are at around -17. Yesterday I downloaded the stock tune and that improved the LTFT to -10 ish but they never go positive. Check engine light came on again. I reached out to Lew and he said it’s the MAF. I will be going to the dealer tomorrow to get an OEM MAF unless anyone has any ideas. Thank you!

True that! Duralast and anything generally doesn't mix well

Some of the old timers on the Cadillac Forum I'm on call them Don'tLast

Probably an intake manifold leak, unless you’ve been running oiled air filters and have a physical leak in the intake shroud

Ive neglected this for a while because it’s a minor leak that only shows when towing, but gotta get it done at some point

from what I understand you have unmetered air getting into the engine and that is what’s throwing the code.  That old of an engine surely has some type of manifold leak

Negative ft is an indicator that the pcm is trying to lean out the fuel. It's a sign of:
- MAF reporting more air than actual
- injector stuck open
- stuck in Open loop (cold start)
