Need wiring help please

I'm tired of people trying to steal my 2006 Silverado Vortech Max truck and have decided as a deterrent to remove the key lock and put a switch in it's place.  If someone tries to punch the door lock it will close the switch and set the factory alarm off.  I made up a switch that fits in the lock cylinder perfectly and looks like a factory door lock.  I've been trying to find a wiring diagram to see which wire/s in the door latch I need to tap into but not having any luck.  Does anybody know which wire/s are used to activate the alarm.

Thanks.

I THINK but am not sure that closing the door ajar switch (Grey/Black and Brown) lower connector in the door latch might be the ticket.  A little hesitant to connect them until I'm sure.  Here is a diagram I found on Shop Key.

Well i just tried to close the door ajar switch with a jumper and the alarm works.  You must first arm the alarm by using the lock button on the key fob.  On my 2006 Silverado there are three connectors on the drivers door latch.  The one in the middle has a four prong socket but uses only two.  Mine has a gry/blk wire and a dark brown wire.  If you arm the alarm properly and jumper this connector the alarm goes off.  Pressing the unlock button silences the alarm.  I'll be making up a harness to go to my switch soon.

Nice,a procedure to follow, but not a tuff one, think a audible alarm will do the job?for door ajar, that is?

I have installed a momentary switch like a starter button in the door lock (the door lock no longer functions).  My intention was to have the alarm go off if someone should try to punch out the lock.  The switch works perfectly, I just needed to hook it up.

whats wrong with a modern aftermarket vehicle alarm? they come standard with a shock sensor, kill switch and monitor all doors and the hood? seems like that would be the best deterrent for vehicle theft. at a minimum a starter/fuel pump kill switch would work. If they really want your truck they will get it.

"They will get it"I hear ya,back when I was in n.y.c,in the 80's,they just used tow trucks,it looked official, nobody paid attention, stinks every way
