Larry E
2001 Silverado Heat & Air controls do not work. Heat and cold air work fine but not the direction controls. Blows from Dash only. Anyone know how to fix ? Will not blow to the floor or defrost the windshield. I changed the front HVAC control module and still nothing. Formulabruce
You might search here, but I am sure you are impatient.. You need a new Blend motor, under the dash. If you want a video, go to you tube, and type in A1A automotive and chevy truck blend motor and they will sell it to you and show you how its replaced. Edias
I just had this issue. Icey windshields were scary. I thought it was the part next to the fan, I believe it's the resistor. It ended up being the fan/blower motor and I'm toasty again. It was like $200 with along with some other unrelated but small stuff. I would have done it (read: attempted) but it was so goddamn cold I nearly sold an eye had I needed to wait another week.
davester
$200? Ouch, that was highway robbery. The blower motor itself should be less than $50,and to R&R it, you just need to remove one cover, unplug the cable to the motor, then unlatch and rotor the motor a little bit and it falls out, and do it in reverse with the new motor...
