Windshield Wiper Problem

Recommended Posts

Hello,

Sorry if there is already a topic on this, tried searching and couldn't find anything but I'm sure there is something. But I have a 2014 Chevy silverado 1500, my windshield wipers only work on high (stop and wont reset position when not in high).I have already replaced the multi - function switch as well as the wiper motor. I have talked with mechanics and done research and am thinking it is either a faulty ground somewhere (because toggling the multi switch sometimes affects the headlights) or corrosion in the fuse block (found a youtube video where they said this fixed a similar problem). Was wondering if anyone else had the same problem and what you did to fix it. I appreciate any help.

After collision repairs to my truck, I now have this exact same problem. Wipers work on high only, and stop where they are without reset to resting position when in any other mode. Did you find the fix for this?

I have quite the opposite issue.  My wipers will sometimes, NOT turn off.  If I use intermittent or the mist function, the wipers will go to full on even with the switch turned off.  I can still go to high speed but the only way to make them stop is to pull the fuse.  They will continue to run even with the engine turned off.  I replaced the motor and the issue continued.  My local dealership swears they've never heard of such a thing.

What was the fix? I'm having this exact same issue. Just replaced the entire wiper motor and the wipers continue to run non-stop.
