Airaid MIT and GMC Performance CAI

Has anyone installed a GM Performance CAI (Part#84016022) and used an Airaid MIT tube instead of the metal tube that comes with the GM cold air intake?

I always liked the GM Performance CAI. They look cool. I would think the Metal one that comes with the kit would be just fine to use. That being said I have the Airaid MIT on a stock box. From the photos attached it looks like the new box does not retain the same angles.

Maybe someone at AirAid could give you better measurements, but you could compare the the GM tube.

I have the MIT on the stock box also with a K&N drop-in filter. However, I also have an Elite Catch Can with the clean-side breather that attaches back to the MIT bottom connection and the other one is capped off because of the Catch-Can setup. The GM CAI tube only has the one connection that would go to the passenger clean-side fitting that i would not use anyway.

From your top photo, it looks like you also have a catch can setup with the clean-side breather running back to the GM CAI tube fitting.

With some work you can get it to work. I got the GMPP CAI to work on the eAssist model. Just needed new silicon or rubber elbows, bends, etc. to make it all work together and don't be afraid to cut. But in the end, would all that work be worth the rewards? Nope...After getting mine all set up, I should have used the money for something else!
