Front Level/Lift Ratios

Anyone know what the lift ratio is for spacer block thickness to actual lift?  I have seen block of varying thickness.  Example blocks advertised as 1/2" lift being 0.4" thick.  2.5" lift being 1.33" block or more.  Does the more you lift increase the effectiveness of the block?  The ratio is 0.8:1 at the low lift, but is 0.55:1 at the taller lift.

I ask because I currently have Bilstein 5100 at the top setting, but want to add about 1/2" ish using a spacer under the strut.   If I use a block for 1/2" lift am I going to see only 1/2", or closer to 1"?  Since I am already lifted do I need to look for something about 1/4" thick to get closer to 1/2" total lift?

Any one who has done this and can provide real world feedback would be great!

I'm not a fan of blocks in the front. They have there place and use. For the money it is a popular option. And I know it will hold. But there is a point I question the strength of the design. Again most all people are just driving down the road but for some they may push the limits of the design. There are companies that make strut collars. They are some type of cast tubing and rated way over vehicles spec.

Ok, so I guess same principal would apply with that scenario.  A spacer on either end of the strut, how does it affect the lift? That is the question.  Not trying to start a debate over which one is better.

I just wanted to update this in case anyone else is curious.  I ordered aluminum spacers for  1/2" total lift.  They were 0.4" thick.  I ground/filed them down to about 0.275 and got just under 1/2" of lift at the fender.  I used to have about 1-1/4 rake, and now it is between 3/4"-1" (my driveway is gravel so some variables there).  Had I left it at 0.4" thick it definitely would have been a bit more than the 1/2" I was looking for.
