Great Experience with Extang

A few weeks ago I bought a used Extang Trifecta 2.0 bed cover for my 5'8" bed. I noticed that the rear corners were not holding down tight, figured out that the clamp arms were too far away from the rear corners to get them tight. Called and emailed with Extang, found out that this was a common problem on that size bed. The fix is a clip kit that goes in the last stake hole of the bed. You then remove a couple of screws from the back rail, slide it back to match the clips, screw it down and done. So, I bought the clips, installed, moved the rail, but didn't screw it down yet. Rear corners fit nice and tight.

But, then I folded it and discovered that the rear rail now rests on top of the middle rail, meaning it won't fold flat anymore. (this issue has been fixed on new covers...I bought an old one.)

So, a few more emails with Extang, sent pics at their request.

Their solution: sent me a brand new cover to replace the one I bought used WITH NO WARRANTY! New cover includes the clip kit and has the center rail moved to solve the above problem. It was at my house in 2 days.

The only thing they asked me to do was take pics of the cover showing the serial number, and field destroy the cover by cutting it and sending them a picture. Seemed like a very reasonable request. Got the cover yesterday, installed it, cut the old cover, sent pics, threw the old one away.

In my mind, that's outstanding customer service to someone who didn't even buy from them or deserve warranty coverage.

If/when I replace this cover, I will buy another Extang product.

wow, that is terrific, I am considering buying a new cover from them, this helps.

How is the quality?

I'm looking at this one on Amazon and would love some feedback first...

I am very happy with mine, but it is a soft fold and different from the one you're looking at.

I have no fitment issues, seals up very well. None of these are 100% water proof. I've noticed no real leaks in the bed during or after big storms.

Well, I got the Extang, pulled it out of the box and in 15 minutes it was installed and done. It fits perfectly and is very nice build quality.

I couldn't be happier with this cover. Highest recommendation.

We needed to take it off the other day to use the full bed, it only took about 5 minutes with no tools and it was off, nice.

Very happy with this thing.
