TRail Boss XM Install

So I think for me to be able to access on my trail boss custom I am going to have to install the xm receiver into my truck.  Has anyone done this and if so where did you mount the xm display screen. I want to put it somewhere easy to change channels but do not want it to look tacky on dash(unless dash is best option).  May sound like a diva but once you get use to xm it is hard to go back.

Instead of adding the XM screen you can buy this kit online and integrate XM into your factory radio as well as saving pre sets. Super easy to install also

Nice find man.  I may do this as well. Kinda pricy, but it’s better than having the extra little display box like snowman44 was saying!

Anyone installed one? is it easy?  and can we use existing antenna on the Sierra?

I’m not sure on the existing antenna. I don’t have the shark fin looking antenna on the roof so I’ll say I’ll have to use the magnet one they provide.  But yea. I’ll let ya know how it goes. It looks fairly easy to hook it all up

Just finished hooking it up.  Installation was easy. Ran 2 wires to ground and the other 2 wires to the cigarette lighter fuse. Hardest part is just deciding where and how you wanna run all the wires.  

 

Also so don’t think you would be able to use the factory antenna.
