17 Bose - Sub add

All,

 

doing the console mod and removing the jump seat. 

 

Truck has Bose system. Doesn’t have the sub as it came with the jump seat. 

 

How hard is it to add?  Plug and play? Where does it bolt to?

 

trying to find a part number to order.

Sub box bolts to the floor hump. Sub amp bolts to the rear wall behind the seat. Not hard to do. Should be PnP if you have the factory wiring harness

Hmmm. If I have to add the amp too, is it worth it for an aftermarket sub and amp that still fits under the console?

 

I was under the impression (hoping) that all that was needed was the sub/box to hook to existing wiring / amp.

Hm, I have the jumpseat Bose with no factory sub in my '15 and I believe when I tapped my amp, that there was no gray wire pair sub output like you would have on the console'd versions.  Thats probably where you're going to run into a hiccup, unless there is actually a subwoofer signal coming out of the amp and I'm a total idiot for using a LOC or the new harness for your console somehow gets that signal from somewhere else?  2017s might be different than mine.

 

One other thing to note, I recall one of the rear speaker wire pairs that I tapped was reversed versus the wiring diagram, and would have a noise cancellation effect making my sub whisper quiet.

Is the amp the same for Bose systems both with and without the sub under the console?

is active noise cancelling only on 6.2 L engines? Or is it on any Bose system with sub/console?

There is no amp on non Bose and it’s totally diff. Wiring the whole setup is diff. ANC is on the 6.2 trucks. Best bet is aftermarket honestly.
