Power steering

Long time lurker first time posting (finally made an account). I done screwed up today. I put in a 2” leveling kit and following directions got me into trouble. The directions said to remove power steering plugs and well 2 tabs broke. I used a big zip tie and glued the connector back seems to be okay. I did see some people have had this issue and wasn’t sure if anyone had a better solution? I know I can order the harness but the big connector in the middle broke on the rack side and I don’t want to pay 1000+ for a new rack due to a broken tab.  Wish I just left the steering connected like my gut was telling me to. ?

So you're saying the locking tabs that hold your connectors in place broke?

It's not a connection that you will frequently disconnect. I would plug them back in and join the two halves of the connection with a bead of 3M DP420. It's aerospace grade epoxy.

If you need to remove it, you can heat it up (soldering iron in close proximity) and peel it off like a booger. Comes off cleanly unlike glues and RTV.

Yes. The locking tabs broke. One broke on the harness side and the other on the rack side. I didn’t even notice until I put it back together. That’s a good idea, I used super glue but I wasn’t sure if it would hold well enough.
