Will a 2016 crew cab fit in my garage?

Recommended Posts

I just test drove a 2016 1500 Silverado Crew Cab (High Country) -- I loved it. The only issue is if it will fit in my garage. The spec sheet says - Length, Overall w/o rear bumper (in): 230.03. I have looked everywhere, and can't find the standard bumper to bumper length anywhere. Does anyone know where I can find this information?

This  is an HD section you posted in, but:

1500 Overall length

CC short box 229.3 (5824)    CC std box  238.9 (6068)

Double cab    std box 229.4 (5827)

Reg    standard box   205 (5207)    Long box   224.4 (5700)

1500 Crew is right around 74 " tall

2500 crew std oal is 239.5  std box;  258.4 long

2500 crew is 78 +/-  depending on box length and 2wd/4wd

Yeah, you basically need a garage with 20'-0" clearance from front wall to back wall (then subtract a few inches to allow the garage door to close without hitting the support ribs on your bumper.)

Any closer than that and I would want to test park it.

Simple answer for you.

Drive it home and see for yourself.   If the dealer will let you. I had this same question when I bought my Sierra.

Dealer gladly let me drive it the 20 miles home to see for myself.

The High Country will have power folding and heated mirrors so you should be good to go width wise.
