Cold Air Intake

No because nonintake increase the power of the truck without a tune and even that is extremely marginal.
People will tell you they fell the power but thata all in their head. It makes more noise and people want to believe so they do.
Even the GM performance intake has a relearn or flash for it.

Yep the tune will just modify the throttle position to less because it sees more air. Air and fuel make power but in the torque management system it is set in tune to keep that all in check. There may be a single second in high rpm and mph that the tune allows for power enrichment as they call it and let's you have all the engine power then in a perfect world that "more" air would be calculated and fuel added.
Again they are good if cold air is given in the design and it is tuned. If you add headers and tune then that is something different.

Ehh, I took mine off and went back to stock, along with stock exhaust. Truck feels more responsive without any other change. I'm keeping it stock going forward :)

There are a few companies like AFE that show chassis dyno results but knowing what I know about dyno's, you can make them read anything that you want to.  My dealer stated only the GM CAI will not void the warrantee.  I know everyone has an opinion about warrantee's but my CIA of choice has been AFE for a while.  The mufflers in the OEM system are very restrictive because the OEM studies say most folks do not like to hear the intake noise.  The same studies say they have to keep their turbo's and superchargers quiet as well as exhaust.  Even at 58 years old, I love the sound of all of the above.

Most of the time if you do not require a tune, you will not void your warranty.
