Suggestions on Nerf Bars

Looking to put some nerf bars on my 95 Z71 K1500 Stepside reg cab. Any suggestions on make, models, black or chrome. I've been looking at the Westin Signature series, the chrome ones. They look nice and have a 5 year warranty.

Those N-Fab's are sweet looking, but if you don't want those, stay away from chrome plated unless it is on Stainless Steel. They WILL rust if not on SS, especially if you live where they salt the roads in the winter. Mine on my previous truck lasted about 4 years, warranty was up after 3, so I had to live with the flaking and rusting. If you go the black route, be aware that there is a very good chance they will rust at the weld spots. If they don't have weld spots they will typically rust on the ends first. I'd try to get them powder coated or get LineX to spray them. I did this to my ATV racks when I bought it, I've hit trees, rocks, and not even a chip, still looks perfect. I'm sure another spray in liner manufacturer could do it. Good luck with what you decide. Chris

I agree, SS will cost a little more initially, but will look better and last longer in the long run. I've had my Westin Platnium series SS step bars and Better Built SS bed rails on my truck for 2 1/2 years and 3 years, with no sign of rust at all.
