I'm replacing all 8 of my intectors on my 6.2l. Can't seem to get the fuel rails and injectors out. I really don't want to buy that expensive puller if I'm probably going to use it once. Has anyone done this without it?

Not sure what expensive puller you are talking about. The only special tool you need is fuel line disconnect tool and you can get a whole set for like $10.

The repair instructions call for it. Part number EN-49248. It actually calls for two sets of them. There are aftemarket types from OTC but that one is $150. I can tell you I have all 8 bolts out and those injectors are in there pretty good. I don't want to damage anything.

I miss read I thought you where talking about small tool to remove lines. The rail I just us a small crowbar. I did it the same as this guy on multiple vehicles. Just go to the 8 min mark.

I got them off with multiple pry bars. It was a pain. They were in there pretty good. Would have been way easier with the tool. I was worried I was going to bend a rail. I'm glad I replaced all eight.

All is good now.

i have done this repair multiple of times, what i do is use lady heel/foot bars and use two of them one on each end of the fuel rail and slowly pry back and use the head as leverage. make sure you replace all the seals. this is a must. on the injectors. both high pressure fuel lines under the intake(one time use per gm due to the high pressure they must maintain ) there is a special tool to remove the metal retaining clip to remove the injectors from the rail. it looks like a pair of pliers that fit into the clip and as you squeeze them close they open on the end and push the clip open. you can manage with some beefy needle nose and a flat blade screw driver. the seals call for a installer and sizer. the installer is a lil tapper cone that goes on the end of the injectors and the seal slides up it slowly making it larger to fit on the injector then the sizer is used to make sure the seal is sized down around the injector
