Silverado vs. Suburban Throttle response?

Recommended Posts

So I just drove my Father-In-Law’s 15’ Suburban and was surprised how much more responsive the throttle (especially bottom end) was compared to my 18’ 1500. It has the same 5.3 as my Silverado to the best of my knowledge.

Do the Suburbans have different gearing?

That’s interesting. My view is the opposite. My 17 suburban seemed less responsive then my 18 Sierra. I think it’s all in the trans learning.

If the os is the same you can just compare and write tune. But if you have access to the tuner (hpt) then you can do more and better tune anyways. Hpt is cheap now and has universal credits so you can do many vehicles on same unit.
I offered my buddy a f350 diesel tune with my device. Saves him a few hundred dollars.

Was it same trans? The tune is different. As the tow hold is lower on the suv.
