What brand trans fluid?

What brand ATF is everyone running and why? I just dropped my pan and refilled with Mobil 1 ATF but just got done reading a lot of posts on ls1.com that it causes my tranny, the 4L60E to slip, which causes overheating and a sooner death. Should I just drain it out and put normal ATF in?

Asmoil ATF. Why choose anything else?

It didn't cure my torque converter shudder at around 2800RPM, it just moved to to other RPM ranges, any ideas?

All "DEXRON III" type tranny fluid must meet minimum GM specs. including "50,000 miles of normal use with no degradation of friction qualities and/or lubricity". (My summation)

Heat IS the #1 killer of transmissions. A trans fluid operating temp. of 210° will cut the oil/trans life in half! Even IF the oil stands up, the hard parts/seals/ friction plates/ bands WILL NOT!

Better to get a cooler big enough to keep the temps BELOW 200° than waste $$ on high priced oil that will not save your over heating tranny.

I was thinkin the same as MoJo, although I dont have a cooler on my truck. I was thinkin about using Citgo Dex III since you can get it at the Dollar Tree for a dollar. The same stuff they sale at Citgo stations for more. I plan on changin mine at 30,000 anyway, do you think the Citgo would hold up?
