How do I turn off the door chime

I want to listen to my radio with the doors open, but with the key on to power the radio, the door chime never shuts off.

Trip the door latch with a screwdriver. Don't forget to unlatch before closing.

I assume you want it on for extended times. But do you know you can hit the power button on the radio to listen to it for 10 minutes without any key in the ignition?

Thanks guys. I know the radio will still play when I shut off the truck, did not know I could play it without the key for a short period.

Taking the key out of the ignition & re-insert ing it quickly will silence the chime if doors are open

Everybody knows their door is open, gm must think people are stupid, you should be able to open your doors and listen to the radio if loading or unloading or just want to listen to the radio while you're fishing, etc. Ford has a way to disable the chime. Get with it gm.
