Windshield Wipers

For the last few days when starting  our 2014 Silverado, the wipers make one pass across the windshield. Just one. Switch is off and works correctly.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

Normally there is 1 spot below OFF (twist the knob back toward you) that is spring-loaded to just do 1 pass then the knob rotates back to OFF.  Maybe the spring in the stalk is broken??

I'll check it. The switch SEEMS to operate normally, but I'll have a look. Thanks.

Strange, but I wouldn't be concerned.  Is there a correlation between this and the last time you used your wipers?  For example, were you using your wipers just prior to this occurring at startup?  I recall the odd "unexpected" swipe with my truck but it only seems to happen around times of recent wiper use.  How do you like your Volt?  I've been looking at the Bolt.  The main drawback for us is the purchase price at this point.

Donstar I like the Volt. I drive back and forth to work using no gasoline. Obviously I pay to charge it, but much less than gasoline. Well built car that drives bigger than it is. I have no experience with the Bolt, but the range is great. Can you still get the Tax Refund? That was another nice thing about the Volt when I bought it.
