1992 cheyenne

I have a 1992 Chevy Silverado 2500 it has a 350 TBI. When I try to crank the truck it will not start when I turn the key on It Don't Spray its initial spray out of the injectors I can hear the fuel pump kicking on but then when I try to crank it acts like it wants to fire but it don't I spray starting fluid in it it cranks right up and then it runs and injectors run fine what could be my problem?? It'll be just fine anywhere I want to go as long as I don't turn it off if I turn it off I got to use starting fluid to crank it back up again  but then I'm off to the races again Thank you in advance
