2020 5.3 4x4 with 10 spd MPG

Have there been any EPA official ratings released for this powertrain in 2020? Any rumors on what it might be?

I doubt it will be different than the 5.3L 8speed, honestly. 

 

But, no, I don't think one has been released yet.

Hmmmm, I would’ve thought maybe 1-2 better on the highway with the extra gears but maybe the additional weight won’t matter.

Well, Ford went from a 6 speed to a 10 speed and only gained 1-2 MPG, I think? 

 

When it gets into this kind of efficiency for a V8, I'm not sure 2 more gears can materially increase the EPA MPG. I might be wrong.

the 6.2 lost mpg with the 10 speed vs 8 speed. 10 speed does not coast or freewheel at all like the 8 speed.

Thanks for posting this! I'm sure in real-life, the MPG difference with the 10 & 8 speeds will be negligible. 

 

There's no stats on the 10sp RWD, though. Is that not a trim option? The 5.3L with 10sp only comes with 4WD?

  Looks like that is correct  --   10 speedseems to be not currently shown as available on 5.3L 2wd 

There also seems to restrictions on what trims the 10 speed can currently be found in.

 

There are numbers for the 2wd with 10 speed combo for the the 3.0 , so it's not a 2wd/4wd thing.
