2004 Sierra AC problem

My AC stopped working today. I put a new compressor, drier, and low pressure switch in it last year, and it’s been working fine. As I was driving to work, I heard a small short screeching sound (sounded like it was in the dash) and no more AC. Compressor kicks on just fine and there’s pressure in the system, at least on the low side where I can hook up the Auto Zone refill system. Any ideas?

The cheap refill systems are known to be error prone, use a full manifold to check both high and low.

Any codes?
Does the blower fan work with AC turned off?
Do the controls properly change direction and temp?
Does the pipe in the engine area (passenger side, near firewall/fender) feel cold just part the orifice and before out enters the firewall?
What are high and low pressures?

Blend door actuator. It's a little motor in the dash that changes from hot to cold. They are just plastic and break sometimes. That's what I would check.

I adjusted from hot to cold and I can hear the blend door actuator kind of moaning and grinding. I’m guessing that’s the issue. I’ll swap it out and report back.
