Bluetooth phone volume and Facebook app??

So I was snooping over at ALL Terain forum and a guy on there claimed the Facebook app on his iPhone was causing his volume to be turned down.

He deleted the Facebook app as a test AND disabled adjust volume with buttons and claimed it took care of his volume problem.

Well, I tried this last evening and I have to say my ringer volume stays put when I'm connected to my truck and after I leave it.

I know not everyone that has this problem has the Facebook app installed but for those that do it may be worth a try.

It won’t turn down if you turn off Bluetooth I know that. I just plug in the CarPlay cable no more problem.

Yep I know that... but I want to leave BT turned on both in my truck and phone and not have it affect anything.

I am a OLD techie and want to dig into this more.

I went all day without it turning things down, as a test I re-installed the FB app and it went back to turning it back down.

I am sure there are guys on here that don't have the FB app installed and still have the volume problem.

I just seems odd to me.....

Whatever is doing it seems to be using Bluetooth it could be Facebook. I had to do something I was missing work calls. I turned off Facebooks access to Bluetooth and cellular, I will test it tomorrow.

Pretty sure the guy on All Terrain tried tuning on BT in FB and still had the problem.

It was only when he deleted the app that it worked.
