Shimmy shake? 2015 denali 2500

Recommended Posts

I test drove a really nice 2015 denali 2500 gas.   I noticed on the highway it vibrates noticeably at highway speed 70mph.  The sales agent with me said it was the road surface and other roads it feels smooth as butter.

vibrating seemed worse towards the back.

is this the infamous "chevy shake"?   Should I just stay away?  It looks like its got brand new tires, looks well aligned and very well taken care of.  50k miles.

I drove a new diesel 2019 2500hd w/t and noticed some much slighter vibrations on same road

I didnt know the 2500s has the infamous vibration issues. The 1500's were terrible, thus the reason I sold mine for a 2500. I have a 15 2500 denali and its rides really good with no vibration. Do you know what tires were on the truck? I had 35s MT on factory wheels and they had a slight rear vibration around 70. Swapped to an XT tire and its back riding smooth.
