Headache rack with toolbox and tonneau cover

I have  a 6.5 foot bed with a husky low profile toolbox and a extang trifold tonneau cover. I really want to buy or build a headache rack as well. I've seen a few photos of others doing this but I can't see how it works. When I have my toolbox open there is probably only an inch of space between it and the cab meaning there would be no room for the headache rack. I could probably scoot the tool box and the tonneau back slightly but the tonneau is already about to stick past the edge. The husky toolbox I have does seem to have a thick top and that may be the issue. Any ideas?
