Park Assist Display Problems

I might have brought this on myself, but I think it should work better/differently! I have a 2019 Sierra with the Park Assist and IOT radio. From day one, the park assist camera views showed proximity lines and backup direction indicator lines. Then, boom, I hit the button last week to switch to the hitch ball view and on going back to 'standard' park assist view, no more proximity lines/info.

 

Any ideas? Is there a setting someplace that I need to click to turn the prox display back on???

 

Or, is this a bug in the system needing yet another system update to fix??

This button toggles between the trailer line, the “boxes” and nothing.
