elk_hunter Posted October 11, 2003 Posted October 11, 2003 I have a 99 GMC Sierra EXt Cab truck. 2WD The tires on it now are 245/75/16. The spare is 235/5/16. I'm looking to get new tires for it, It's not lifted or every will be, and seldom tooken off the streets. Should I get 245/75/16 again for them again? Or go wth something a little bigger...I see the 265/75/16 are the same price. that would give it a bigger stance but is that working it, would it help any with towing that I due? And if I go bigger then the 245 up to 265 would I need to have the speedo changed? thanks for any advice!!!
asepgrad98 Posted October 11, 2003 Posted October 11, 2003 if you go with 255/70/16 it is almost same size as original 235/75/16 and speedo will still be accuate.
toddgotfish Posted October 11, 2003 Posted October 11, 2003 check out 1010tires.com they have a tire size calculator put in your OEM and then mess around with different sizes it will tell you the exact difference and mph gain/loss when you find the tire you like click at the top of tire #2 and they will give you a list of all manufactures and pricing i have always found tirerack.com to have the best prices and your local NTB will match their prices as long as its not a closeout or clear out
