Anyone with hearing aids?

So I finally got hearing aids today and it seems like quite an adjustment for my brain to adjust to.

I came out of the office and couldn't figure out what a sound was... it was leaves blowing down the street.

It seems a little overwhelming at first.

Fifty percent in each ear. The higher sounds. Use to drive my wife crazy with the treble. Seems I can hear deeper sounds better than her. Got hearing aids 30 years ago. I found I wasn’t missing what I wasn’t hearing. I road in a diesel could hear the injectors popping. Toilet filling, someone pissing. Leave rustling, keys rattling made me jumpy. I already could read lips, I put them up. Came down to I wasn’t missing what I wasn’t hearing.

It will take some adjustment. Do you have the type that allows you to make adjustments using your smart phone? I don't have hearing aids, but have an elderly mom with them
