Unplugging VCIM completely?

Just recently bought an 04 Denali for dirt cheap. Only downside is theres a ton of electrical problems and draws. Figured out and fixed all but one.
 

The vehicle is pulling almost 3 amps after being shutdown for hours. Pulling the INFO fuse reduces the draw to .020 amps. I looked up the wiring diagram and the INFO fuse is connected to the VCIM, CD changer and rear entertainment system. Unplugging the last two items did absolutely nothing. The draw is all from the VCIM. 

 

Are there any negatives from unplugging the VCIM? Will the vehicle still run and drive properly? I’ve searched high and low and read a lot of conflicting information. Any advice is appreciated.

Vehicle should run fine. You might lose navigation, cell phone interface depending on the model
