i've seen vehicles with Meguires on it. I've also been using Zaino for over a year. So far, i have no reason to stop using Zaino. The last coat i had on my truck was 5 months ago, and it still beads water like the coat was new.

Zaino can be "stacked", and each coat results in a deeper shine. The clealcoat on my truck, with 9 coats, looks 1/4 inch deep!

My vette, with only 2 coats, looks better than showroom, and its 6 years old(with no Zaino on it before i bought it 4 days ago)

I've used Meguier's for years, practically all I ever used. Although I have never used the meguier's stuff in the same order that I use the Zaino (pre-polish, polish, etc.). However, with the Zaino, the truck feels like butta! "Cawll me, We'll Tawk, 555-4444, Cawfee Tawk, w/ Linda Richman"

Another question I have about Zaino is the steps. When i first got it, I read the dirrection about 5 times to make sure I had them down,and referred to them as I was waxing. I washed the truck with Dawn, Z1, Z2, Z5, Z6. Wit the appropriate waiting time in between. Did I do this correctly? The other day, I washed it with Meguier's wash concentrate, the put on Z1, Z2, Z6, for a quick wax, and because "Z2 has higher optics" whatever the heck that means! lol. Any help would be appreciated, Mervz, I know you're an expert!

You got it pretty good! Z2 and Z5 are basicly the same, but Z5 can fill in scratches. You are supposed to use Z5 untill the level of swirl marks are to your sastisfaction, then swtich to Z2. Z2 will give a more glossy shine than Z5. You can always change between the two, but the last coat should always be Z2, for a better shine.

Z6 is really just a"touch up" spray. I use it between coats to help me get the last little bit off, and whenever i'm too lazy to wash the car(if there is only a little dust on it).

I can answer anything you want about Zaino! :blush:

I appreciate the time he took with the test.

And since i was trying to figure out which id use, and there was no difference, i think ill go with the easiest and less expensive one.

Are there any retail stores that carry Zaino? I'd like to give it a try this summer. I currently use Zymol when I can, recently tried GM's Vehicle CArs Cleaner Wax, Water stops beading after about 1 and 1/2 months. I'm hoping there is still some wax left , its been almost 2 months. I plan on using Zymol in a few weeks. Zymol, from what UI read on their site, uses a diff kind of Carnuba that everyone else. I use their cleaner wax.

Unfourtunatly, no. You have to buy Zaino from a distributer, or directly from Sal.

Well after all that I decided to just stick with turtle wax. Works fine for me, I know it really pains a lot of you to hear that I do not choose Zaino.

After looking at that guy's test I'll stick with what I was using, which was gold glass. And I'm sure that you can build up on polymer wax just like on zaino. Like he said they both have lots of dust on them. My guess would be though that Zaino lasts longer, but 10 bucks compared to 80 is quite a difference when you can get the same shine.

I'll be the first to admit, Zaino takes alot of effort to put on.

Its also not the best if you really use your vehicle.

I put it on mine, because i rarely drive my truck off road and get it dirty, and the paint is perfect.

If you use your vehicle, then something cheaper is not bad.

As Sal said though, most other products have an artifical shine to them. Its just like using pledge on your car, it looks great to start, but there isn't any protection after that....

Is Zaino a liquid? Since I got a buffer, I LOOOOVE liquids. But my Zymol is the same price, and Zymol sort of "hand mixes"(More like hand adds the "special ingredients" their waxes) And they have manufacturer support like BMW and Mercedies. not to mention that The Zymol "solid"(Is there another word, its not the liquid, like the wax in a can, cept it's in a plastic "can") has been used on Concours winning cars, I believe. Alothough I don't fell like getting thier solid wax, it's Concuors expensive, and since it's not liquid it'd be almost impossible to use a oribital buffer on.

A lot of waxes have silicone in them and some people get all upset when you use a wax with silicone in it? Just wondering if Zaino has silicone in it and everyones thoughts on waxes with it! BTW I thought about using some of those expensive waxes but I fell in love with the way Mothers Clear Care shines and I have a few bottles stocked up before they discontinued it, so i will use all of it up first!

i take it none of these waxes repel dust at all? i could spend all day washing and waxing the truck and car. but the second the wind comes up or i have to go somewhere, there goes all my work. be nice if there was something out there that didn't attract dust/dirt. then maybe i would wax my car and truck.

starting to really hate the dirt road i live on.
