Go into setting and find something that says phone or devices. Remove everything in there, then reconnect you phones bluetooth. Then connect your phone via usb. What does it do?

Why would this help? This is essentially how the vehicle was 24 hours ago when I bought it.

Sometimes the show other people how it works and there is a bunch of devices. In there. Just trying to give you ideas to try.

Deleted all devices, reset the unit...cleared the truck from my phone...tried all that
Currently waiting on new USB port, but been waiting since October on that...
Kind of a big deal for me and probably others since I was allegedly able to use my phone for nav, and not spring fro a higher trim level, but haven't had AA working in the truck for 6 of the 9 months I have had it, and nobody knows why.

It was driving me nuts. The first 3 weeks I got mine. I was considering claiming lemon law. Lol

Worked initially in the truck....then had to wiggle the port...then it stopped altogether .. used to charge phone high speed, but now just regular speed...and won't find my phone for AA, so dealer suggested swapping the port when they couldn't get it to work either. .

Well my wife's phone which is a Samsung S9 works great with the truck. My phone which is an S7 does not work very well. Maybe its time for me to upgrade.

I'm using a pixel 4xl, all updated, and still having issues...my son's 2xl doesn't work in my truck either, not does daughter's iPhone....so it's gotta be an issue in my rig

Well, I guess I have a happy ending. I tried my third cable with my phone and now things seem to be rock solid. Everything works.

Mine went the shits using same cable that I had been using, but it could still be cable + finicky head unit, maybe

It might be the usb port on your phone? S7 is compatible. Take a small needle and dig out the junk in the port. You will be surprised what builds up in there over time of in being in your pocket.

Well it appears that my Android Auto problems are not totally solved. I had Google Maps on today for about 20 minutes when Android Auto just completely dropped out and stopped working. Tried reconnecting my phone several times to the usb with no luck. Had to cycle the ignition to get it to work again! Yikes.

i have 2019 gmc elevation w 4 cyl turbo. same crap happened to me, except i constantly has a chime beep/beep, loud as crap, continuous and couldn't control it with volume on phone or head unit. finally pulled over, turned truck off and started up and problem was gone. several bad issues with this truck, not including recalls. i smell a buy-back in my future.
