4x4 engage problems

When I try to engage in high four wheel  when I moving the light flashes slow the goes fast and will not got back to two wheel unless you turn off ignition. You put truck in neutral then it goes right in four wheel high. Try motor, front activator. Frustrated with being told I have to engage it that way
