Need Help with electrical source

Does anyone have suggestions for accessing ignition-side power for accessories in a 2003 2500HD Duramax/Allison? That is, I need to get power for accessories which should only run when the ignition is on, to prevent battery run-down. Dealer is no help, and all wires are bundled and inaccessible. I don't want to screw up any systems. Any other sources?Help would be appreciated!

Look for an IGN fuse in the fuse panel on the driver's side of the dash. Tap into that and you'll be good to go. The fuse is in the area of the upper left hand corner of the fuse block if I recall correctly.

If you still have problems, I'll run out to the truck and refresh my memory. My truck should be identical to yours.

As Firetiger said you can find a source in the fuse panel located on the drivers side at the end of the dash. Just open up the panel cover. You should be able to find unused "pins" as a power source. Just test them to find the ones that work only with iginition power on. I used a narrow style of female solderless connector to make the connection as the pins are narrower than a standard spade.
