So I have a 2003 2500hd the problem i had is when i bought the truck the climate control module is the digital one with driver and passenger controls. The temp control knobs both didn't work correctly as most of this style do not. So i replaced with a dorman. Worked for about a month. Then the drivers side would randomly change temps so i replaced  the blend door actuator. After resetting the system it then would only blow hot on 90⁰ medium heat at 89⁰ and cold anything under 89⁰. So i warranted the climate control module. Same problem. I have reset the entire system several times. And i have reset the module to #1 several times also have tried other #s but all do the same

Anything electronic with the name "Dorman" on it SUCKS, as you just found out! They are the worst of the worst as far as quality control goes. I honestly have no idea how they remain in business. We call their symbol on the box, "The Wallet With Wings" in the automotive repair world. More techs have been burned by their products than I could ever count.

 

There are companies out there that restore things like this. I don't have any experience with them personally, but it's worth a shot. Do your research - make sure they're a good company before sending the unit in. Hopefully you still have the OE one - that's the one you want to rebuild. The Dorman one is a good paperweight.

Personally, I would get a used OEM one (or your original one if you still have it) and get it working right again.  You should be able to find youtube videos on fixing them.
