DEF Tank

could GM have put the tank in a worse spot, the thing hangs down way far and is ugly to boot,  i can just see this thing getting ripped off when working in the woods, Think I will have my brother-in-law build me a  better tank out of 6 inch well pipe  and install it higher in the frame rails, anyone done something like this ??

They've been there, and at that height, since introduction for the 2011 model year.  

 

I've read many posts expressing the the same concern since then -- but can recall very few that actually reported damage.  Aboudt the same number that reported fuel tank damage. 

 

It's same/similar height from ground.
