2017 Sierra - Service Stabilitrak

Service stabilitrak message came on today, 2017 sierra base model, 100 000km (62 000 miles). ABS and traction control still seems to work. Was snowy and tires were spinning a bit when it came on. Dealer replaced something in the transfer case and rebuilt the front diff within the last month try to fix some gear whine. Any ideas what would cause this? If it was a sensor I would have thought traction control or ABS would have shut off as well.
