Did you take this to the dealership, have them give you a diagnosis, then replace that part yourself and never go back or did you have them do the work it didn’t fix it then not go back?

2007 GMC Yukon XL Denali 6.2L, stalls and won't restart when warm.

More than a few owners of 2007s and 2008s have had this issue.  I cannot point to the posts but suggest you search over on the TahoeYukon forum your exact issue and the solutions will come up.

i have a 04 yukon and i am having the same exact issues. it started out  dying while pulling a trailer when it was hot outside, then started stalling out if it was hot out. then it will start  right  up after i turn the key to on then off a few times, so i replaced the mass airflow sensor, the fuel pump, fuel filter, and tomorrow will be replacing the crankshaft position sensor . im testing the new one prior to installing it since ive read a lot of stories where the new part was defective to start with.. so i will let ya know how it goes because ive had at least 4 different mechanics scratching their heads and nobody has been able to fix it yet..if this doesnt work i guess im out of ideas.

I’m having the same issue on my 07 escalade. New throttle body, crankshaft pos sensor, fuel purge valve, and alternator. I’ve checked for vacuum leaks and don’t see any. Checked the bond strap and it looks good. I can’t seem to reproduce the engine dying when coming to a stop. One thing for sure it will not restart until it cools back down

Low oil pressure when coming to a stop the cam over advances and sticks while trying to restart it. This can be seen by watching the desired cmp angle and actual cmp angle. Do an engine flush, change your oil to 15-20 or 20-50 and add a quart of engine oil stabilizer. This has worked for me after checking all electrical possibilities from grounds to a new eco. Another option is a vvt delete. To have a shop do it with tune would run around 3k. Another option is to bump up the idle per a tune say 150 rpm keeping the oil pressure up high enough to keep it from causing issue with the cam/timing. A tune may run a few hundred dollars depending on your area. I’ve invested many hours into this issue. Hope this helps someone. #SkeltonsShop Henrietta Tx

Has anyone pin pointed this issue and fix? I have done everything possible beside new engine and new ECM which is on the way. I have a 2008 Yukon Denali Xl doing this exact same thing. 5 mechanics all unknown and are aggravated at not being able to pinpoint what this issue is . All data states one thing but that’s been changed too . Any luck anyone?
