considering both axles are the same size and the mounting is the same i sure you could switch them

Noisy how?  Is it doing the jingle in 2wd?  Because there's a fix for that.  

 

Also the codes are SU4 and SU5.  GU4 and GU5 are axle ratios.

Thanks new dude, I have a 2020 trail boss with an AAM (su4) and 3.23 gears (GU5) 

The front differential has ring and pinion noise between 30-40 mph - loud grinding.

Chevrolet dealership has looked at truck 5 times. GM told them to replace front differential assembly per warranty.

However GM does not currently have an assembly replacement? I am looking at avenues fro repair and possible get a (SU5) in it's place. This should be a direct fit replacement?????
