1996 Vortec engine

I have a 96 305 Vortec. It has a slight miss at idle and is hard to start. It isn’t throwing no codes. Does anyone know what my problem is?

Do the basics if you can.

 

Inspect the cap/rotor. The plug wires and spark plugs themselves. If you can do a compression test, do that too just to make sure things are healthy.

 

Clean the MAF sensor. Check over the throttle body and even pull and clean the Idle Air Control valve.

 

Without a scan tool hooked up and me in front of the truck I can only guess at issues.
