Trans filter change

Hi, I have a 2001 K2500 Suburban 8.1 4L85 trans.  I'm trying to do a trans filter change but the back 2 bolts of trans pan are under the trans cross member. I've heard I can remove the 2 trans mount bolts and jack up at the transfer case slightly to get a brace in between mount and cross member then pull the pan off.

Do you guys have ways of doing this??

Yes, that is probably your best way of doing it.

Have you tried to get to them with a 1/4" universal?

I have tried 1/4 uni with short sockets. I know they make the shorty socket w/ uni attached. Also the shorty socket attached to a wrench. Both I believe are Snap-On.
