How to get seat heaters to come on automatically??

I have a 2002 Silverado LT with seat heaters. I have a remote starter installed on this truck. While the truck will start and warm up nicely, the seat heaters do not come on untill you actually push the seat heater button. So, you get into a nice warm truck with freezing seats (ya, I know, life's rough).

Is there a way to get the seat heaters to come on when the car starts without having to actually push the button?

Thanks.

I would think that if you changed them around, then they would come on every time you started your truck. That would be miserable in July!!!

My seats get toasty in a few blocks... way before the truck starts to blow any heat.

I know a few that have done it in their Sierra Denali's with the heated seats. They had an extra channel and button on the remote and added another relay for the warmers. Now they are remote operated just like the starter. Your starter installer should be able to do it easily.

I had a remote starter on my 1990 and loved it. I now have a 1999 silv. and would like to put one on it. I would like to be able to use (1) remote. I used to have the one for the truck and one for the starter, that sucks. Has anyone been able to use the GM key fob with the trunk release(for cars) on there silverado?

I would like to use the trunk release to start the truck.
