For those of you with an SD card reader in the dash

Well I know what I’ll be doing next, thanks! Now who wants to explain how to get songs and put on the SD card??

What kind of sd card do I need to purchase? I have a Silverado 1500 WT, so the USB ports are not for music. The 32 USB that I bought will not work for music. I would like to load music onto the SD card and put it into the navigation port. What should I buy, there are different types.

So as of right now I just have the USB that came with my 2020 silverado trail boss custom.  I do not have nav.  I purchased the USB-C/USB-a/SD.  Will this just plug and play and work with my truck or do I have to have Nav for this part to function properly?

My method is download music onto phone, plug phone into computer via USB, then copy file to SD card.  I but my music via Amazon.

You don't need nav to make this work, however I don't know if it's plug and play.  I have a Trail Boss LT.  It came with the USB card reader, but that trim doesn't even have nav as an option from the factory.

Thanks so much!  According to a YouTube video I found, and one other post on a different forum in here, it should be plug and play.  I just bought the component for $35.  Will post once I have it and it is all installed to let you guys know how it works out.

I didn't think a custom had a SD card slot.....thought on conv 2 pkg on LT trim or higher gives you SD
