Remote start not cranking

I recently bought a used 05 Silverado looks like it has a factory remote starter on it . I press the lock 2 times and hold truck cranks but doesn't turn over. Any ideas to help me out ?

Do you mean it turns over but doesn't start/run?

Are you sure you are using the FOB correctly?

Is it the original FOB?

Yes as far I as know truck came with two remotes......one factory and one aftermarket one "code alarm"...the aftermarket fob doesn't do anything....the factory remote I can hit lock 3 times and truck starts then shuts off

Is your check engine (Service Engine Soon) light on ?  The factory remote start will not work if there is a fault. If it is an aftermarket unit, you will need to find out what make and model it is before you can even begin to troubleshoot it.

Remote start didn’t come out until 2007 so it’s aftermarket
