Reverse Lights in Mirror will not work with Cargo Switch turn on

Hi All,

New to the Forum. 2016 Chevrolet Silverado 4x4 Diesel. I have the lights in the side mirrors that pull out and the light will not turn on with the Cargo Switch turn on and in Park, Reverse or Neutral. The Cargo Light does come on, so that tells me the fuses is work properly.

I have tried to search on the forum for a solution to my problem, but can one find only how to tie in with Doide to the BCM block. Which I plan to do once I can get them to work. Also read the truck manual to see if I'm just missing something.

 

Note: I will add that the Mirrors do not want to fold in, but I can hear the motor trying to work. Someone told me that I just need to use a pressure washer gently to break up any dirt where they pivot and they will start working again.

What trim level is your truck?  

 

Also just to clarify.  The mirror lights come on in park and neutral when the switch is pressed to enable the cargo lamps?  And you do see the message on the dash "cargo lamps enabled"?

I have the LTZ trim package. Yes, park and neutral when the switch is pressed to enable the cargo lamps. Yes, the switch light is enabled (on).
